An Odd Sighting in Central London: RESOLVED

Hi all,

I posted last week about an unusual sighting I had around Russell Square in Central London. Many of you kindly responded, and it was narrowed down to either a Jay or a Mistle Thrush. I myself leant towards the former. Well, I have brought my camera along with me to work every day this week, and this morning the mystery bird was sighted again. Behold, the Eurasian Jay, bold as brass in Bloomsbury. Even sitting on top of some scaffolding, hardly 'shy and retiring' as my birdbook suggests. Lovely to see them so close to wear I work. Was lucky enough to spot a Goldcrest during my lunch break as well!
