Can anyone identify this bird please I saw it on the 16th of February near Keswick, in the English Lake District, and am having trouble Identifying it. It initially looked Robin like and was singing profusely and musically, but has no red breast. Possibilities with redish legs combined with its appearancem song and the fact it was singing on the top of a hedge between a road and a field seem to rule our most Warblers, White Throats and Read Throats.
Below is a useful guide to Warbler identification. Just click on image for a larger picture.
Still having trouble with LBJs Any idea what this is I favour Garden Warbler someone I know favours a female Blackcap
Twite or Linnet?
Still need more help please.
Seen an RSPB Burton Mere today, may be more than one bird, I origionally thought Chiffchaff, but looking at the photos now think Willow Warbler, possibly an adult and a juvenile
