Saw 4x these in my garden yesterday, ground feeding. Bigger than a sparrow, thought it was a thrush but doesn't appear to be the right colouring. The only thing I can find is a rock Sparrow, but I know they're incredibly rare. Help please!

Do you think they could be very young 'Magpies', just a thought re the markings..

Could be a Redwing - there were 4 of them and they were about the size of a thrush.
