Can anyone confirm this is a Water Pipit please.
I'm thinking Rock Pipit, where & when was it seen? However I have a poor reputation for ID'ing birds from photos! LOL
Hi Noisette, i saw it at RSPB Blacktoft Sands.
There have been a few around the Lagoons for a few weeks now.I saw this from First Hide and there was a report this morning of one seen in front of reception next to First Hide so hoping this is it as it will be a lifer
I'm no expert on pipits but I would have been inclined to go for Meadow Pipit with the clean uniform streaks down the flanks. I think Water Pipits have a more prominent supercilium
