I've never seen a young Goldcrest and I'm hoping the large eye means it is a youngster.
When I snapped this one I noticed the eye but it doesn't have any sort of crest.
and then later it landed in a bad spot for a bit of preening.

Surely in that last but one photo there is a sign of the crest Alan, lovely photos of the little bird anyway, well captured I would say.

Failing the emergence of an"expert" who I think have all deserted us in despair, it looks good to me as a juvie GC. Minimal signs of a crest and a general "fluffy" look seems pretty conclusive.
I agree Alan, looks a youngster and signs there's a bit of a gape still - see what the experts think.
