Good Morning Everybody.
I was out and about at Stockers lake and surrounding lakes in Rickmansworth on Monday and came across this juvenile which i am struggling to ID.
Help appreciated as usual.
Mark
I'd say it's a juvenile robin.
Robin for me too.
Thanks Marina and Richard
It did not even cross my mind that it was a juvenile Robin so i never looked up any photos of a juvenile Robin. Even though Robins are one of our most commonest birds i have never come across a Juv Robin until now.

Many happy returns!
It is the time of year for youngsters baffling us birders and Robins seem to be the top one for that.
Most smaller songbirds i find easy to ID as juveniles Pete, not that i come across many often. Probably Blue Tits and Great Tits are the most common species i have seen as juveniles the most times, this one just baffled me. As it looks little like the adult to my untrained eye.
I will know next time :)
Agree it looks as if it wants to disown its parents by a clever disguise
