Hi guys
This just landed on my sunflower seed mixture. It seems a much duller greeny brown colour than my regular siskins.
Is it a juvy or female siskin?
Sorry about the poor pics, but it wouldn't turn around, and it's a very dull day here.
Best wishes Chris

We haven't seen any, at all this year, either Squirrel.
Lovely photograph Chris. Trying to see your photo was rather like trying to see the real bird .
Hi Woodpecker.I'm fairly certain you've got a female siskin. Brilliant picture by the way. Here's a couple of pics from last March. One is at the original zoom and the other has been cropped. Not sure if these will help with comparison purposes because of the different times of year. We tend to get siskins occasionally, mostly in very late winter and early spring.

Great shots Heron77 :o)
Re the perch rings. I did give up on them after 2 weeks and then all of a sudden the Sparrows started using the feeder! I left the 2 on the bottom but that didn't make much difference as the Sparrows don't use the bottom ports on my 6 port feeders for some reason. Maybe its the seed trays?
They do have some funny habits don't they?!
Hi, I think siskins are so pretty. Don't get them in my garden but took these pics last week at my mums in Devon
Male and female
This pic is not very good, but shows how many there were on average
You are very lucky to have them, I think they are beautiful little birds

Oh B$%£"!R
Makes a change but I can see them ! Reminds me of our last house when we could have an invasion of them. We have only seen a few here but none this year yet. Lovely photographs, thank you.
Squirrel B said:I have a feeling they have by-passed me this year.
Hi squirrel
I thought that when everyone else said they had seen them and I hadn't, but then one suddenly appeared so don't give up hope.
I haven't seen any siskins in our garden yet this year but we had a pair last year. This photo was taken in March.
I am looking out for them every day now with my new camera to hand!

Hi SB,
What a lovely photo with goldies and siskins together.
Do they only visit this time of year up to spring, or do they come all summer? One of my 2 has been every day since they first arrived last week, and I was hoping they might stay a while.
