Feeding less common birdseeds

  • In reply to Catlady:

Morning Catlady, and thank you. Nice to see that you're still here.

I thought for a while I was gone for good (from these forums). But like some stubborn odor, here I am again. ;-)

We're doing OK, thank you. Hope that the same's true for you. And to you too a very happy new year 2021.

I wish you surprises, and that they all turn out to be good ones.
  • In reply to Rokusii:

    Morning Rokusii,

I've tried to dig my copies out but they're obviously mis-filed.

If I remember rightly, the authors were Scandinavian (perhaps Norwegian). I seem to recall I got them from BirdLife Switzerland, and that they were also mentioned in the Nos Oiseaux quarterly (French language) and in Ornis (German language).

    Experiment away!

    Dave

  • After researching the best seed for canary, this seed from Hagen for canary was one of the top three. Hagen canary seeds are quite clean. After emptying the bag into plastic containers for easier portioning, almost no dust settles at the bottom. This bird seed mix contains just four seeds. Since Iswitched to this brand, I rarely have to throw out a half-eaten bowl of bird seeds.
