A young carrion crow (with a few remnants of white downy feathers and small shiny blue streaks on its wings) has been spotted wandering aimlessly around on a garden lawn for the past two days. It is healthy but appears not to be able to / want to fly and allows humans to approach.
Other crows are nowhere to be seen. This juvenile has survived one night on its own. Will it eventually stengthen enough to fly? Should food be left on the lawn or could this attract predators?
