Hello Indira, I am sure that if you put feeders up the birds will soon find them and come visiting. Window feeders with the suckers seem popular for folks who have no balcony etc. Good luck. Let us know how you get on.
I used to work in a fourth-floor office overlooking Soho Square in central London. We put up a tray-shaped window feeder, that stuck to the glass with suckers, and it attracted Blue and Great Tits and Greenfinches. Then feral pigeons, who unfortunately broke it!
Thank you aiki- that's good to know! There are quite a lot of wood pigeons around, so I suspect it may eventually get broken by one of them but definitely feeling more encouraged that some of the smaller birds might find it too. I'll give it a go and see what happens...
I think I will get one of the feeder with the suction pads - might as well give it a go!
I've found this Meripac window feeder to be pretty good, Indira. They've improved it since I bought mine so that you can add a fatball holder. I'd be wary about adding too much weight to it though in case it comes unstuck. You could Google it to see where you can get the best deal.
I'm not in a flat so I only use it for live mealworms during the breeding season.
