I must admit that I always thought that birds, especially the smaller ones, took shelter when it was raining!
Not so these two Chaffinches, who are soaked to the skin but still seem to happily fly back and forth to the feeder! I guess if they're hungry they will? Does anyone notice a lack of bird activity during showers or is you're experience that it stays pretty much the same?

If the call of food is strong enough, they'll brave most things.
We've had birds on our bird feeder in all weathers, except very strong winds.

We had pretty much only chaffinches for bird watch in the rain today. They are hardy little devils but most others seemed to prefer to stay under cover
