l've had a blackbird start nesting again in the same place this year, saw him nest there and believe it may be he's first young l see around now, was early with the first nest, what do think? Simon
I believe that Blackbirds can use the same nest in consecutive years, so it's not a stretch to think that they old use the same one twice in the same season. Whatever the statistics are, the important fact is that they are nesting and hopefully they will be successful.

I agree that she'll be happy to use the same nest again after giving it a little tidy up. If Blackbird nests have been raided, however, she would look for a new nesting site.
Thank you both, yes l think your right they are using the nest again now there other babies have lift it, l see them around mum/dad still feeding them with food l put out. do you know if l can freeze my fat balls to stop mould? by any chance. Simon
