I'm writing an article about pheasants and why they are deemed the UK's most stupid bird. I was wondering if anyone knew why this is the case, and also, if there are any claims to the contrary and that perhaps they may have some hidden talents we might not realise?Thanks.

I think they have a reputation for stupidity due to their predilection for throwing themselves under cars!
They aren’t that stupid, though… my mother has several who have learned to knock on her door and push the cat flap when they want her to feed them.
