I've got these recordings of a bird call I didn't recognise. It was in a churchyard in Durham. It repeated the same phrase over and over for ages.
I've gone through lists of UK bird calls but I can't find one that matches the distinctive pattern, if anyone recognises it I'd appreciate having the answer to my curiosity!
(I hope the MP3 file uploads okay - there is some background noise but if you turn the volume up it should be pretty clear, at least it is on my phone)

Sorry Alice but although your clip plays, there is no bird sound?
Edit, have replayed it but it is very very faint.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Hello and Welcome to the community. Im good at identifying Bird calls and have seen them do and heard them do that call. it is a Blue Tit. But thought sending this for you cause it has the audio of it doing the call might be helpful. I hope this helps. https://www.rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wildlife/wildlife-guides/bird-a-z/blue-tit/
