I am desperately curious about what this is? It appeared from the side of my garden at 10.30pm, running across the ground seemingly unable to fly. It let me get so close before running again and hiding in the bushes. A pest of a cat from the neighbourhood suddenly appeared 10 minutes later and the next thing, the bird had flapped out of the bushes across the garden and over the house!! Much to my surprise as I thought it couldn’t fly!! Never seen anything like it. It had the body of a pigeon but bigger, but the face of a bird of prey!!!
