Hello Gerie, welcome to the forum from Cathness, up at the very top of Scotland. Your young Blackbird should grow its tail feathers in time, I have also read that an adult who looses its tail, for whatever reason, will grow back in time.

Thank you for a answering that for me.They keep me amused all day long. I was in the garden today and I was nearly stepping on them. Mum and Dad come when I call them, as I put the food out for them, as fo all the other birds but the previous babies are chased away by the parents.
