No official response happened so am cancelling this post. Wendy and I had to give the best advice we could seeing as nobody "in the office" saw the post. I wish there was some way to flag up more urgent help issues as the home page only offers general advice which is not always sufficient when trying to respond to more individual situation and pleas for help.
This is what the post referred to …….Just highlighting an urgent question from Dan who needs a quick response to a more desperate situation. I have tried to answer the best I can but would prefer more professional advice on what Dan can do to help this blue tit nest.
Hi Wendy many thanks indeed, I'm always very reluctant to advise when it crosses the boundaries of the Wildlife Laws but some situations are more desperate and I think common sense should prevail if the chicks are to be saved. Thanks again, I doubt we will get a response from the powers that be as we are pretty much a self help group here but I thought I would try first in the hope a member of RSPB staff see this. cheers again Wendy.
