Super set Bob, brings back great reminders of our couple of trips there. Didn't see baby Shags tho, I think we were a bit earlier, and never looked closely at female Eider.. stunning!! Thanks for sharing
Interesting. I wonder when you went. Shags seem to be the earliest layers, these young are quite well developed - nothing else seemed to have any chicks and those Puffins that were bringing back sandals were only bringing 3 or 4 at time - none of the usual bill fulls you get in June.
I looked back, and we were 2nd week of May 2021, and 1st week of July 2018.... can't believe either were so long ago!!! In 2018 they puffins were only bringing back 1's and 2's of sand eels, and 2021 was a non-landing trip due to covid.
