Cowdenso this was a 2nd attempt to visit as I went a couple of weeks ago at the weekend and stupidy never bought ticket in advance and never got in as was sold out but we had a picnic and went elsewhere so wasn't a total waste of time.
Decided to try again yesterday as with it being during the week should be quieter....took my chances and never booked...again lol
Carpark was really busy on arrival but they do have an overflow carpark...just a longer walk but was a beautiful day .
Just a WARNING ...this is gonna be a long one so just gonna keep adding to it until we are all sick of the sight of the place lol
Happy to say we got in this time ...although we did notice sold out sign up when we went back to car for our lunch a couple of hours later!
So my 1st view of the garden
Hmmm was it worth it me thinking
Then wow
Yes you are allowed to walk over the bridge and stepping stones and board walk....not best idea with 2 cameras and eyes everywhere looking for wildlife lol
Back with more soon .......

Are you sure you didn't just extend your pond? Looks glorious
Lol...a wish ! Oh It is a stunning place
I have never seen them out of the water or on a nest either Linda. You had a great view.
Dabchicks are one of those waterbirds I referred to in the recent moorhen thread. Not seen them attack young as obviously as coots do, but they do seem to pick favourites in their brood and chase away the rest, leaving them to effectively starve. Certainly seems the case the times I've seen very young families.
