This Great Crested Grebe is from a 2nd pair that seems to have taken up residence on the local mere; there is a bird hide on our residential parkland/mere and this Grebe seemed quite chilled out allowing for some close up photo ops...... hoping this is a male and his lady is nesting but only time will tell. This grebe was so confiding I took a lot of photos !!
What cracking photos Hazel and to have them on your doorstep!, lucky you!!! They usually always keep their distance when I see them.

Ahh, it's not just me that suffers from shutterclickitis then lol. Stunning selection in gorgeous light. Thanks Hazel
These Photos are excellent Hazel its surprising how big a fish they can eat. I managed a photo of one that had a pike of around the 3lb mark and it had it half way down its throat I recognise the Tench on one of your photos and it looks over a pound in weight. Well done Hazel and they all tell a story, Fish keep well away from great crested grebes, herons, goosanders, ect, ect, Lol
A lovely selection of photo's Hazy. You caught some great poses , I like those were it looks about to dive and it made an impressive catch.
