The Orchid fields are open so I took a dogless walk to see how they were doing and also see what might be on the wing
The first winged thing that settled for me. A teneral damsel and I can't work out what it will be when it's grown up but I think Common Blue
Now for some Orchids and other flowers
Peek-a-boo
Never realised how much pollen an Orchid might yield
went around to the other side of the meadow
there was a Common Blue jet packing it around and really didn't think it was going to settle until
heading back to the carpark I spotted a bird on/in the gorse in the distance - not a Chat - not a Cettis' - they had already refused to be photographed - a Robin
there were a number of Painted Ladies enjoying the thistle

Nice set Cin, not seen any damsels so far, but saw an emperor briefly outside Mum and Dads conservatory yesterday when I popped in for coffee! You've reminded me to resume my Bee Orchid quest at Hod Hill this year lol
Very nice set of pics, lots of orchids.
Looks a lovely area Germain. I have yet to see a common blue or painted lady . looks a good amount of orchids.
