Great result ILR, I have only seen a little owl once. I have never seen a black necked grebe. Nice selection of photo's.
Thankyou Hazel, seeing the little owl was a bonus. the chiffchaff met us when we arrived and was singing in the carpark, I had four hours at the reserve and only saw a small part of the reserve but was more than happy to see what I did. St Aidans is a fabulous reserve and I know you are going to visit this year, you won't be disappointed. It was also great to see the new arrivals. Thanks again for viewing Hazel.
Aww well done ILR, you can usually count on you Little Owl in one of your favourite places to visit ;-)
Looks like you had a cracking day out...them grebes are just stunning
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
Great stuff ILR, super variety and owl joy... Fab!!!
Many thanks Snappy pleased you liked them, the black necked Grebes are now breeding on site which is great news. The little Owl finds all the nooks and crannies on the oddball machine you really have to search to see it, that is if your lucky.
Thank you Linda St Aidans is a fabulous reserve with so much variety of wildlife and each time you go you just never know what you are going to see next. It was nice to see the little owl again and I agree the black necked grebes are always great to see and photograph.
Many thanks PB so pleased you liked them and yes the Little Owl was great to see again.
Yay! success. Your patience was rewarded ILR. Lots of great shots there. I love the Greylagg new arrivals ...
Many thanks BD I was lucky the resident little Owl was out of hiding, just.Lol
