For those of you who are not familiar with the sight of a Truxor, I took a quick clip on the mobile of one at Leighton Moss rspb in Silverdale. They are used to cut swathes in the reed bed and have different attachments so they can also clear channels ........ this was on its way back after cutting reeds and clearing up some debris in the channels. Looks like fun to operate !

I like how the birds just ignore it Hazy, probably think amateurs
I agree Snappy, it was funny watching the mute swan as it watched the Truxor going by
I've chatted to the guys that use these machines quite a bit (we see them every year at Minsmere too). They'll often stop out in the reedbed for a coffee and Bitterns will come out, stand on the machines & inspect their work!

I'd love to be on the Truxor when that happens WJ !! This one has been out quite a number of days and did meet up with a member of rspb staff who was sitting out in the middle of the reeded, no doubt, was taking counts of bitterns or marsh harriers - the Trux driver must have taken coffee to her as she monitored the wildlife !!!
I've met our Truxor driver a couple of times now .... interesting Loch of Kinnordy

Looks great fun to drive! When I was about 4 years old I wanted to be a dumper truck driver. Unfortunately I never made it ...
