I had a nice walk round Lodmoor last Friday and as an inexperienced birder I couldn't ID everything I saw at the time, but I've looked at my pictures and referred to the books and here is what I saw.
Heron, tufted duck, goosander, widgeon, lapwing, oystercatcher, teal, marsh harrier, sparrowhawk, buzzard, Canada goose and the good old tame robin!
Great couple of hours and I'm off to Arne on Friday for some more!

Nice one Albert, shame you didn't see the glossy ibis that's been there and up in chickerel somewhere. Have fun at Arne, hope the weather is kind to you.
Thanks PB, I live about 20 minutes walk from the site in Fleet Lane where the GI has been seen, but I haven't been able to get down there. Planning to have a look on Wednesday, hoping to get lucky!
