A Tip=Toe Down the Trailway

Day off today, forecast pretty decent (first decent day off in a couple of weeks), thought about Lodmore (possible Glossy Ibis based on recent reports) down to Hamworthy (Snow Bunting on recent reports) or stay local, and just get out and about, as we all know how fickle the weather can be. Local was the final decision.

Little flock of Lollipops greeted me

And a pair of Dunnocks were furtling about

One of several Robins

A very rare Golden Winged Rook

Several Jenny's were being a bit vocal

Spring is definitely sprunging (this is where I went ass over boobies last time I was down here... nice to see nature marked the occasion lol)

There were 4 or 5 Bullfinches, staying resolutely behind the twigs!

A drop of sunshine on the snowdrops Smiley

Four deer grazing along the field edge

A Robin caught in a shaft of light through the shadows

Not often you see the proof of a Chaffinches cowardice lol

More sunshiney snowdrops

And a sunshiney Robin in full flow

It had been a pleasant, but quiet wander (quiet in sightings, not in song... little beggas) and as I was passing the last field back to the car park, I spied in the distance a Buzzard. It was soon joined by some corvids (too far to tell the type, so I loitered for a few minutes, in case it was harassed my way, but sadly not

Instead, flying the other way, a swan

And then directly across the field, I wasn't sure what.... it turned out to be a rarity for me, Sparrowhawk.... unfortunately I did an ILR, and was on slightly too slow a shutter speed, as it flew toward, and then practically over, me

A group of 3 or 4 Jackdaws then flew across the field

And finally, another distant Buzzard

When I got home, I decided it was daft not to use the still shining sun, so went teeny weeny in the garden.... Moss on the brickwork

The end of a Salix (willow I think) twiggy branchy bit

Winter Flowering Jasmine

Magnolia bud

And then, finally, inside... Orchid

Hope you enjoyed my bit of sunshine.... I did.... hopefully more on Wednesday for my next day off.
