It's well overdue for starting. This is the link to last years thread
Butterflies and Moths 2023
There haven't been a lot of butterflies around here this year so far. The earliest was a fresh Red Admiral on the 3rd of january
Since then I've seen a Speckled Wood & Peacock. There have been Brimstone's about but I haven't seen them. Plenty of time left in the year to go chasing butterflies.
Best wishes

I've not seen a Buddleia in that colour before. And your visitor is clearly enjoying it too
Thanks SM, I had sat my washing basket close to it so it was only when I went to lift that , that I noticed and obviously told it to wait until I got a camera...am glad it did
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
Thans Snappy. Yes I was lucky ...
I fancied a smaller Buddleia as I like things in pots so I can move them if I like. I looked online and found this one, then as luck had it they had them in my local garden centre. As you say, it seems to be popular ...

I am out in the cold when it comes to exotic butterflies, but I am next to the fire when I see some like these beauties. Well done PB
Super shots PB. I thought you would have named them for us ... . I love blues, but unfortunately don't see many, and the top one is very colourful, I've never seen a Wall butterfly ...
Don't suppose you have other photos of that Blue do you?

Nice finds PB, I saw my first wall this year.
