Butterflies and Moths 2023
There haven't been a lot of butterflies around here this year so far. The earliest was a fresh Red Admiral on the 3rd of january
Since then I've seen a Speckled Wood & Peacock. There have been Brimstone's about but I haven't seen them. Plenty of time left in the year to go chasing butterflies.

Lovely photos everyone; here's a couple of butterflies from yesterday which looked newly emerged in pristine condition; speckled wood, gatekeeper, Was good to see all the insects coming out in the 27 degree sunshine

Beautiful butterflies
A few from this week. Still not seeing any blues and very few Red Admiral and Peacocks. A few but not many. Did find one painted lady though.
