A pair of Common Crossbill feeding in my locality today in some lovely light - which lasted about 5 minutes in between snow and rain showers.

I have a Robin that I put ontop of a Christmas tree in my room instead of a star and some birds to clip onto the branches as christmas decorations and they do look realistic at Christmas. iv taken it down now, I usualy set the scene as them in positions that look like there foraging or looking about to make it more realistic . some of the positions are some of the positions and poses the birds are taking in your photos. 1, 2 and 3, 4, and 5, 11, 12, 13. the christmas tree in the photos looks very similar to the christmas trees commonly used and christmas aswell and scarily the birds and scene looks almost exactly as realistic as them when there on the christmas tree. even though its not christmas it looks bery christmasy being on one of the trees that looks just like a Christmas tree. pine tree fur tree etc those are really good photos of the birds
