After yet another successful year on the Odds & Sods thread, initially started I think by Hazy, it might be wise to kickstart the 2023 thread off.

As the Memsahib and I tottered around local footpaths on our daily early morning walk, I spotted this.
Edited: This is a Scarlet Tiger. According to t'internet it is normally found in southwest and Wales. I suppose middle/west south Berkshire puts it just within its normal range.
The poor thing appears to have a damaged left wing.

Half a dozen snaps whilst pottering around the local area this weekend. Nice to see the little owl pop back up. Still to get a nice photo of a bird in flight, the camera is more than capable which just leaves one thing
