After yet another successful year on the Odds & Sods thread, initially started I think by Hazy, it might be wise to kickstart the 2023 thread off.

Tufted Duck at Verulamium park the other day. I thought it came out fairly well!

A few moorland red deer, hares and highland cattle from the weekend. The highlands live up on the peaks and new calves are starting to show.
Yep, you can't help but smile watching them both. Lots of chats up on the moors today but they just tormented me photo-wise. Also a cuckoo close by in a tree next to the path but as I got close another bird saw it off. I know they have the reputation but I've seen the humble little meadow pipits ganging up to get them away before.... not surprisingly.
