Visit to RSPB Saltholme 1March 2022

There very good. Exspeacially the gray Heron. and the Kestrel photos

Excellent shots as always but the Curlew in-flight is my favourite.

A good set of photos again Bob, we used to visit Saltholme monthly before the pandemic but we seem to be finding enough stuff local for day trips at the moment. I always found a good selection of books in the shop and the cafe did cakes to die for, of course we saw birds as well

Lovely photos. Particularly like the wing markings of the kestrel and the curlew.

Have you ever visited tRSPB Dorman’s Pool,Bob? Dorman's Pool is only 5-10 minutes walk along the road outside of the entrance to Saltholme. Dorman’s Pool is an excellent RSPB small satellite reserve close to Saltholme.

Ian, it may be worth mentioning that Dormans is open for RSPB members and Teesmouth Bird Club members only has had some great birds over the years and

No, I've never been to that hide. It seems to get listed as only available to RSPB members and not the commoners who pay their daily entrance fee.

Yes, it's rather elitist and not available for those that pay the daily entrance fee.
