They are opportunistic eaters and will consume nearly anything that they find! Lucky you to have a hedgehog visit in the 1st place!!!

Yes we seem to get a few in my garden . I got some good footage last summer of them , I even got 3 together one of which was a smaller one , it was so cute . They were Eskimo kissing each other .

Good to see one, they are opportunistic as Linda says, I used to feed them in the garden a number of years ago now, but these days don't get any.
