The Kestrels at Tynemouth Priory are pretty unfazed by people walking by - she sat in a tree at eye level with the path no more than 10 feet away as she was watching for voles. So close people were able to stop and take pictures with their mobile phones and I almost had to back away

They are regularly down by the Spanish Battery car park by the priory, the grounds must be full of voles. If the weather is as bad as its supposed to be their might be some good wave crashing over the North Pier too. Enjoy Beadnell.
Fabulous photos Bob, and the clarity of the claws/talons, grasping the twig, stunning.
