A couple from yesterday's quick afternoon wander (at Baddesley, for the bluebells, in another thread later)
A buff tailed bumblebee, probably trying to seek out food desperately rather than part of the days activities....

Nice photos. That Bumblebee is actually a red tailed Bumblebee. The Buff tailed Bumblebee has 2 yellow stripes. The red tailed Bumblebee doesn’t usually have yellow stripes and is all back with a red tail. The Queens and workers are jet black with a red tail. the Males have a yellow stripe and a red tail. allways think is cooll and very interesting when you get to see the proboscis they use for drinking nectar and pollen
