Brilliant photos folks, Leighton Marsh and the goldcrest.
Hazel, the weather is doing you guys proud, and good to see it after all this wet and dull stuff we've all been enduring...

Only a couple to add today as most critters were too far for photo captures; we did see 5 distant Otters. (Dog, female and 3 grown cubs) around Causeway (public hide); also saw male and female Marsh Harriers and many teal, gadwall, and other waterfowl
One of my favourite wading birds, a snipe.
think this squirrel ate all the peanuts ......either that or its fluffed up its plumage in order to keep warm. lol
female Marsh Harrier was at the far side of the causeway pool almost out of photographic range but she wanted to wave hello to you all. LOL

In reply to HAZY:
I'd be happy to see and take a half decent otter photo....
I've still yet to see one in the wild, but I have to say the snipe photo is gorgeous.

Distant Redwing and friend yesterday just down the road in farmer's field.
Very nice Jim, I love the redwings and great to have your photos. Hope you can get to LM in the summer; we're booked into the Travelodge again for 5 nights (Sunday 26th June - 1st July). and yesterday we also booked Paul (MC) in for 4 nights so it would be good if you could make it up here although I understand it is a mammoth journey for you now.
Now for a couple of photos as the Bearded Reedlings are still coming to the grit trays which is unusual for so late in the season. Only record shots ..........
Lovely bearded tit photos Hazel.
