I was stood at a barrier on the waterfront and didn’t expect this...
This little heron walked amongst the geese, pigeons and swans with no problems at all. A few times walked right up to me.
one of the white geese walked very close to me as if to say ‘pardon me, coming through!’ and headed down the bank to the water.
A swan came along and stomped, trying to spoil the party!
meanwhile, I’m surrounded by about 100 pigeons!!!! All of them looked at me with curiosity.
I’m thinking the birds are used to people as there’s lots of benches. But I never thought herons were so nonchalant?
