It's getting difficult to remember that far back, now!!

The local Stonechats are starting to show themselves again, spring is in the air. :-)

Lovely to see a Stonechat Paul, fabulous little bird I always think.

ILR we are lucky to be seeing and hearing at least 2 pair of Stonechats on one of our local reserves which in many ways like a mini St Aidens

St. Aidans is a bit further for me, but as it will be that time of year, it will still be one of the first places I go to as well when broader travel is allowed ... I get lots of Stonechats locally (I was lucky enough to stalk a group of 6 the other day), but I don't get many Black-necked Grebes and especially not in breeding plumage!
