Time to start this year's thread of odds and sods (Last year's Odds & Sods HERE)
Today a large flock of 40 or so Redwings descended on the fields around our local parkland and although they were pretty skittish and distant I hard cropped a few pics for you ....
and a blue tit landed nearby !

A couple from the garden yesterday, while I sat in the sun drowning my financial sorrows after the dentist put not just a hole in my mouth but my wallet toooooo
One of many blue tits that visit the feeders
One of a pair of buzzards flying over yesterday afternoon, I think this one is the female, it was noticeably bigger than the other it was flying with, as always, corrections are gratefully received.

This Autumn weather seems to be stirring the Geese into action over the last few days we have had a big movement of Pink Footed Geese passing through our area in N. Yorkshire. When were just getting home yesterday evening we had several large skeins fly over the car park the largest would be about 1,000 birds, fantastic sight and sound. We are going to Northumberland in two weeks time and we hoping to see morebig flocks around Holy Island.

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can

I'm sooo jealous, Holy Island!
I've only been there the one day, and had to time the visit between the tides, on a windy, but sunny late October day, and it was just fabulous.
Both my wife and I would consider staying for a long weekend break there.
Enjoy and I look forward to the report back, and any photos.
