And the second wander of the year!

Wouldn't it be great if I could make that a daily event....

Sadly, I'm back at work Monday, so that'll be it wandering for a wee while, Covid and weather permitting....

Still, back to today's short wander again near the same Nat Trust as yesterday  (New Years Day 2021: and the first venture of the year), and the intention was to try and get clearer pics of the redwings, especially as the sun was out, albeit still below freezing, and also a decent sunrise photo.

The sunrise just kept giving, but that is the bonus of the countryside rather than an urban sunrise...

A pair of male pheasants seemed to be enjoying the company of sheep....

And after a while, one of the pheasants decided to stand proud on a fallen tree....

And of course, there is the obligatory robin photos....

Even if a headstone is used as a perch....

Blue tits feeding from the nearby trees....

And the prized desire of this morning, redwings. The redwings were very camera shy, each time I raised the camera to take a phot, they were gone, vamoosh, and yet they weren't too bothered about my, shuffling around. So I tried another tactic, set the camera up on a tripod, for it seemed the movement of the camera was disturbing them rather than me, and it worked.

Stay safe everyone, back to work Monday......
