Came across a first ever Twite at RSPB Teesmouth recently. Wildlife photography has been harder to come by lately and I spotted these after doing a sunrise session nearby.

I've never seen one before. I know when I lived in Cheltenham that we used to get odd ones through in Gloucestershire but I never seemed to manage to see one. They may be more present in the North East but in the 3 years we have been back I haven't seen one but I may not have been to the right places. I may have missed the odd one but Ive certainly never seen a flock of birds before that I couldn't identify. I have had several people ask me where `i saw them so maybe they aren't that common or aren't here all year round.
