I was going through a box of 'bits' about an hour ago and found a couple of CD's with photos of one of my various trips to Japan in the early 2000's. These were from 2005. One or two interesting shots of the local wildlife were tucked away amongst the various shrines and temples. Hopefully someone can ID the birds and maybe that snake.
Are these Mandarin Ducks? The colours don't look quite right.

The previous photos were all taken at the far north of Hokkaido, this feral kitten was in the peace park in Nagasaki, From one end of the country to the other.

No wildlife here, just me with the locals, somewhere near Hiroshima.
I think this might have been near Nara. I'd love to go back at some point and concentrate on the wildlife.
