I was sent this BBC News link today which shows a rare UK sighting of a Bearded Vulture in the Peak District
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-derbyshire-53383387
A member of my group got some decent pictures of it.
There are still more sightings coming in on Twitter, most suggest it has moved from Derwent Edge to new ground just north of Torside Res.
If you follow the Pennine Way from Torside Res, at Crowden,. it will take you past Black Tor and on to Laddow Rocks through Oaken Clough (also mentioned on Twitter) , which is purported to be its roosting ground.
All the sightings are on rocky crags I've included a map to show the area, ringing the places mentioned.
It seems to be settled around the Laddow/Black Tor area, fingers crossed nothing disturbs it.
I'm not able to view the video, I had a fall out with FB and until I prove who I am, and I don't recognise FB as an any authority to request personal ID, then I'm blocked........
I can only guess it was due to the fact I kept declining friend requests from one total stranger, who I had no connections with, and I only had 29 friends, which were all close family, I wouldn't provide my full address, work details or any other for that matter.
Would someone be able to enlighten me as to the video content?
@ Mike, I'm not on FB but was able to see the video with info about the Vulture without logging in. I just clicked the play button.
