Dove thinking it is small

You can see the thinking process there...

It tried to get a footing but failed

Why can't I fit on there

Maybe another day

Nice crow the previous day sitting surrounded by lovely little blue flowers, any idea anyone

It seems to grow in patches over the front green

Titch caught up with me while I was having my daily walk, I had mealies in my pocket in case!!

He ate a couple and then flew across the field where maybe he has a female waiting.....

Enjoy the sunshine folk

Lot to learn

I think you hit the nail on the head with "lovely little blue flowers"

Lovely sunny pics, thank you Gaynor :o)

  • Lovely photos of the collared dove and crow; I'm still searching for the flower - possibly Speedwell but I'm working on it LOL

  • Brilliant photos Gaynor. If its any consolation, we have wood pigeons with the same thoughts as the dove, but only one or two manage to get on the feeders and actually feed from them.

As for the little blue flower, my first thoughts were speedwell as well.

  • Thanks very much all, speedwell sounds a safe bet,

    Lot to learn

  • Just catching up Gaynor, lovely pics & am in Speedwell camp too ... differing opinions on google from selling plant plugs/seeds to how to eradicate with 'orrible weedkillers, know which camp I'm in there!!

  • Really!!!! well all the people around here seemed to like it Wendy, so hopefully it will outlast the spread of the "killer".

    Lot to learn

  • Wouldn't mind at all if my grass sported a mass of it Gaynor, had to put my foot down about grass being cut today, just enjoying daisies & dandelions, good for the bees etc!  Much prefer rustic to pristine!

  • Funny, it was green bin day yesterday and I did think I might cut the grass but happy to report I abstained:-)

    Lot to learn

  • The pictures of the dove are so reassuring somehow. I have also begun looking at my porch and garden a lot more since the shelter at home began. small miracles and beauty.
