Just a little windy

Lovely to see all your Spadgers Gaynor, can't gget any pics of mine today as window is rain-soaked but plenty coming to feed in this dreadful storm!

Thanks Wendy, we had a clap of thunder at 6.30a.m. that had me jumping out of bed and coming downstairs to unplug computer - it receded more or less straight away so I was soon back to sleep!!

Fortunately no thunder/lightning here, just rain & very strong blow which is peaking for next three hours, power holding too thank goodness! Take care

Awww bless the little birds; we've got the tree spudgies back with the house spudgies; they've been taking the Peckish nuggets and turned their beaks up at fresh waxworms lol

I have never had tree spadgers here Hazy so you are lucky, they are very distinctive looking birds, but if they are that choose maybe they had better stay in Cheshire with you.

Never known any Spadger here to go for mealworms or waxworms, could put them out for Robin quite freely if it were'nt for Starlings gobbling them all!

Well that is a lovely Sparrow Bush! Poor things it is very windy for them, hope the lad gets home soon once the weather settles. Whenever that is going to be!!

Thanks Catlady, I moved the feeders into more sheltered positions and by the afternoon we had sunshine and the wind easing so the birds all managed to get a good feed. You feel so sorry for them when it is lashing down and blowing a hooligan too.
Just been watching the news, no sign of them sailing yet from Ireland, tomorrow looks better but the sea will stay rough for a while yet.

Sensible birds sheltering behind the house! I haven't seen that many Sparrows in one place for ages. They're just occasional visitors in places I normally go.
