Butterflies & Moths 2020

Sorry for the delay, I had to wait until the sun had gone down a bit.

The buff one was eating from the flower part which is releasing the flyaway seeds. They are tail to tail here

No wonder it seemed familiar Sandra, I feel fairly confident that it's Cabbage Moth larvae ... have had both colour forms in the past, they do like flower heads & buds ... remember stripping off all my Acidanthera flowers to feed the last ones I had ... remember now H taking the mickey cos I gave them such posh food! Lol

Beautiful Comma pics, Linda! Have seen lots of dark brown butterflies fluttering around here but none have settled to take pictures of, unfortunately.

Thanks Wendy. Not so posh here so these will be staying on the dandelion! lol

Not sure what this little chap(ess) is, in the garden on a buddlea leaf, until it flew into the grass... guessing small white, but don't remember 3 spots before.. Any confirmation or otherwise gratefully received :o)

Looks very colourful for a Small White PB ... one of them there aberrrations maybe?

Oh no....not bloody variable whites, same as variable damsels?? It's a bloody conspiracy!! I think the colour is off probably because it was in shadow, on a buddlea, under a magnolia, next to something with blue flowers lol
