Hi All, I took an executive decision & decided to amalgamate the Butterfly & Moth threads which may make it easier to find if it's used more!
These are the old threads from 2019 Beautiful butterflies https://community.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/f/all-creatures/200195/beautiful-butterflies-2019#pifragment-4285=1
& Mostly Moths https://community.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/f/all-creatures/198118/mostly-moths-2019/1273216#pifragment-4285=1
To start us off here are a few from the recent traps & wine rope,
this is a lovely Satelite from the 8th january
Best wishes

WendyBartter said:No wonder it seemed familiar Sandra, I feel fairly confident that it's Cabbage Moth larvae ... have had both colour forms in the past, they do like flower heads & buds ... remember stripping off all my Acidanthera flowers to feed the last ones I had ... remember now H taking the mickey cos I gave them such posh food! Lol
Thanks Wendy. Not so posh here so these will be staying on the dandelion! lol
Not sure what this little chap(ess) is, in the garden on a buddlea leaf, until it flew into the grass... guessing small white, but don't remember 3 spots before.. Any confirmation or otherwise gratefully received :o)
