Starting with a first for me ... Sparrowhawk in neighbour's garden here in quarry, only ever seen a seemingly lost youngster many years ago!
Grabbed ID vid footage through d/glazed door, then battery died & by time I'd replaced it to go outside for better res a delivery driver stopped next door & frightened the bird off!! grrrrrr
Hope it's a one-off for the sake of my Spadger horde!

A wee bit of Jiggery Pokery in photoshop to try and rescue some shots in poor light from today.
Still, not an everyday sight for me.!! :-)
Heavily cropped and adjusted.!!
Spent a fair bit of time just watching through the bino's though. Lovely.!! :-)

Rubbish pics as these turned up during the hours of gloom and had to be snapped through the window ! but just to show you a couple of the wildlife we can see from our window ......
Each morning I watch the wild rabbits in the side garden whilst making my first cuppa of the day; today there were three, this is one of them although it was pretty gloomy to get a decent shot but I thought Ann would like this .....
and Momma Mallard perched on the water garden light ! who appears to only have one grown up chick with her; she was teaching it how to preen those feathers
Lot to learn
Thanks Gaynor and Ann, the light did look a bit strange with the mallards on it lol the pond/water area still has some work to be done although hopefully not too many larvae or other pond critters will be disturbed. It was good to still see the dragonflies and damsels but we need the sunshine back again as it's pretty grey today with more drizzle on the forecast all day.

Yes Ann, at Newport Wetlands where apparently there were ..... definitely two ..... or did another visitor tell us there were three, so long ago I can't remember lol ?
This years kestrels nest in the local valley for the last 2 months. No idea why I have to add music or narration so I'm happy to be told off for that. Three chicks fledged, all female like last year.
