Starting with a first for me ... Sparrowhawk in neighbour's garden here in quarry, only ever seen a seemingly lost youngster many years ago!
Grabbed ID vid footage through d/glazed door, then battery died & by time I'd replaced it to go outside for better res a delivery driver stopped next door & frightened the bird off!! grrrrrr
Hope it's a one-off for the sake of my Spadger horde!

When you just wanna hide away for a while from all the hustle and bustle...
Who said maggies cant be loving...and lovely
They get more use out the garden furniture than I do
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
A couple from today, post them a bit.
Owl up on a wire watching me pass on the local lane and nesting kestels. Looks like the adult female above but it's one of the juveniles, now out and about half hopping half flying around the nesting tree.

Not quite wildlife, but tame to wild clouds!

The tame....
And the wild!
Followed by lightning later on....

It reminds me of Jackdaws which nest in the chimney. Always tender, in Summer, cawing to each other as they return to the nest in the chimney. But…the last couple of years earlier in Spring I've seen two males presumably, breaks locked, tumbling down the roof tiles onto the path by the front door, fighting over nesting rights. It's a tough life, and more entertaining than a soap! PS. Dont get me started on the sparrows! Russ
Wow! I used to scare the maggies out the garden but they are good at keeping the pigeons out ......I never get many sparrows..plenty of everything else....
more tender moments today in the sunshine
