Starting with a first for me ... Sparrowhawk in neighbour's garden here in quarry, only ever seen a seemingly lost youngster many years ago!
Grabbed ID vid footage through d/glazed door, then battery died & by time I'd replaced it to go outside for better res a delivery driver stopped next door & frightened the bird off!! grrrrrr
Hope it's a one-off for the sake of my Spadger horde!

Some odd weather over the weekend ... but that often gives the best photo opportunities, as far as I'm concerned, anyway, so some dramatic evening skies over the local moorlands, all within a few hundred metres and over the course of about an hour.

Only three days to go before we say goodbye to the courtyard birds so making the most of our time with them.... starting with a Tree Sparrow, one of a pair and two juveniles; this one visits throughout the day ....
New spudgie batch arrived .........
