These pictures are from a visit to Abberton Resevoir a couple of weeks ago. Apologies for the quality of some but the distance and cropping compromises the 35mm to 135mm lens I have at the moment. I do believe and hope that MrsT has had a delivery from Wex Photo in time for Xmas and a new lens will be in a sack rather than a stocking?
There were thousands of ducks about but we couldn't spot the Ring Necked Duck but did manage a very distant view of the Little Auk thanks to someone with a scope and a couple of Scaup.
Quite a few Pochard about.
Which way, which way... where'd it go?
Straight ahead, don't loose sight.....
There were about 30+ Goosanders about, mainly keeping in a group, but further away so really pushing my max 135mm zoom. Come on Xmas
A good number of Goldeneye about but distant
At the further causeway the usual suspects expecting to be feed.
Then it was time for the visitor centre and a hot tea (the coffee is awful) to watch a Moorhen climb a bush to get to a feeder.
Brilliant photos Tony, and I'll keep my fingers crossed Mrs T has your Wex Photo delivery nicely in time for Christmas.
I'm curious, what are you hoping for from Wex?
Tony T said:Thanks Mike, I'm hoping for a MKII 100-400mm Canon zoom to go on the EOS90D. The lens will be a second hand one I saw in their shop, in mint condition.
You're welcome, I look forward to seeing your photos with the new lens
