Don't be too pessimistic about your chances of seeing these striking birds. Last year we had an impressive Pomarine Skua passage along the North Norfolk coast and multiples were seen on quite a few days. I was fortunate enough to have one fly right past me on the beach at Titchwell. There have been a few going by this week too.
Happiness is an adult Hen Harrier that hasn't been shot, trapped or poisoned. Happiness is a rare commodity in the English uplands.
